| Describe yourself in 3 words Imaginative, listener, enthusiastic Chris are you the normal one of the company? You have got to be joking! I may look quiet but I am a coiled spring waiting to go off! What made you join Maddy and Gez to form Wooden Tiger? I saw the passion they had and the drive and wanted to be part of the dynamics. We all balance each other. Maddy usually has the initial idea, Gez engineers it and I put in the arty side of it. Rumour has it that you were a Deputy Head of a Primary School until recently? I was, the school was in Hertfordshire. I really enjoyed working with the children but the paperwork and politics took the fun out of it How long did you teach for? I know I don’t look old enough but I have over 30 years teaching experience! Where does your passion for carving and sculptor come from? I trained under the master craftsman Gino Masero. He was my uncle and my mentor. Gino also trained Chris Pye who some of you may have heard of! We hear you have a thing for lining paper? I tend to take the designs and make working plans of them on lining paper. You make it sound like I have some weird fetish! Are you off to do something constructive now? Sort of – thought I would put the kettle on! |
